My Mommy (Grammie), Me and Auntie Kasey
Me (33 weeks) w/ my family (minus Steven) :( He had to work the day of the shower :(

Last Sunday was Baby Shower #2 hosted by my mom and aunts. It was so wonderful and special. Everything was beautiful and set up so nice and I had so much fun chatting w/ everyone there; family, friends and co-workers!! Steven and I received so many great gifts and we are truly thankful and blessed for all the awesome goodies for our baby boy!! Words really can't describe how appreciative we are though. We are just so thankful to the Lord for all of the amazing people he has placed in our lives and for all the love they continually show toward us. We are also beyond thankful for the amazing miracle of baby Isaac growing inside of me and for choosing us specifically to be his parents to love and care for him!! We can't wait to see him, hold him, and kiss him!!

Isaac has been moving around like crazy today...daddy and I are loving it. We were so thankful that the Dr. scheduled us one last ultrasound before we will actually meet our baby boy in person. So we went Monday for the ultrasound and we are so happy that we got to see Isaac one last time before his Birthday!! He is doing great and getting big! He is approximately 4lbs 7ozs plus or minus some and is growing right on track. His head is still down which is super awesome except for when he likes to kick my ribs or just chill under them for long periods of time..lol nah though it does hurt at times I absolutely Love feeling him move inside of me, It's my favorite part of being pregnant :D This weeks is Christmas and other holiday festivites, along w/ another Dr. appointment, so I will update again soon!! Bye for now :D

Approaching 30 Weeks!!

Steven and I saw this onesie at Target today and just knew we had to get it. Can't wait till Isaac can wear it. So this week we will be 30 weeks pregnant, we will be having Thanksgiving w/ our families, and we will be moving out of the apt. into the house!! This is all very exciting and we definitely have so so many things to be thankful to the Lord for. We would have nothing without him that is for sure!!! Steven and I went to the Dr. monday and go our packet to register for the Hospital and to sign up for child birthing classes. Baby is doing great, has a strong heartbeat, measuring on schedule and was facing head down. We are going backto the Dr.'s December 8th and then starting to go every two weeks. The Dr. also scheduled us to have one more ultrasound since we are in the 3rd trimester just to see how baby boy is growing. We are so excited we get to see or baby boy one more time before he is born. Our ultrasound is December 14th and after that we will only have to wait 8 more weeks till we can meet him in person. Everything is going great though, I've been feeling really good trying to keep my body strong and prepared for birth by walking and doing prenatal yoga. Steven and I love to play music for baby boy, talk to him and read him stories at night, but we really can't wait to actually meet him, hold him and kiss his precious face!!!

We had our first baby shower last weekend given by our Dance Dimensions family. It was such a wonderful shower and we were truely blessed by everyone there. We got so many nice things and were extremely surprised that they all pitched in and got us our beautiful crib! We were definitely not expecting that and are so thankful beyond words! Steven, Papa Rocko, and Uncle Kyle put together the crib and cubed organizer that night while my mom and I put away all the clothes and other goodies in baby boy's closet. So, we have a little start on Isaac's room but will finish up as soon as we finish moving & have our next shower. Most likely we will finish up the room during Christmas break!!

14 weeks to go!!!

Went to the Dr.'s yesterday and I thought I might give you all a little update. First off we got our ultrasound results and Dr. said that everything looked really great!! Next, I passed my glucose test.. Yay!! no gestational diabetes for me :D Dr. said baby and me are doing really well and that I have done a great job taking care of myself and my weight. Only gained about 9-10 pounds total so far which makes me happy cause I know I will be growing tons from here on out I'm sure. Daddy has been super excited these days also cause he has been feeling Isaac kick and move around alot more and alot stronger...we love it so much to feel him move. It's all such and amazing miracle. Oh and today my mom (Grammie) finally felt him kick for the first time after we finished lunch!! So glad she finally go to feel him :D Anyways lots of things going on this coming up.. my aunt's baby shower, our dance studio shower, Thanksgiving and dun dun dun.... the joys of moving!! We will be busy busy busy till our baby boy arrives... hope the time flys!! :D :D

We registered at BabiesRUs after our ultrasound had confirmed we were having a boy. Steven and I both decided on decorating his room with this 'Team Safari' theme by Lambs and Ivy. So far we have the 6 piece bedding set and we love it so much and can't wait to get everything else so we can start decorating his room. (once me move) We only have 4 more months left till we meet our little Isaac Steven and we are really looking forward to all the exciting things God is going to do during this time. Not to mention all the holidays coming up (my favorite time of year)... I'm sure that will make time go by even faster. We are truely thankful for our precious miracle and are cherishing every step along the way!!

We had our Anatomy Scan Ultrasound and Dr. appointment last week and everything went great!! We are still so blown away at this whole process and fall in love with our little boy more each day!! Baby boy was moving around like crazy during the ultrasound kicking, punching and drinking the amniotic fluid. It was so cute to see his little mouth opening and closing :D... on the other hand he did make it hard for the lady to take good pictures of him. But its alright we are just thankful we got so see him and hear his heartbeat again. (( I just love that sound!! )) Also, at the appointment Dr. said everything looked great on the ultrasound results, my belly measured right on schedule at 22cm. and I got the flu shot.

20 weeks!!! Half way there!!!

We have made it to the half way mark in our pregnancy and couldn't be happier. We are so extremely thankful for the little miracle that God has blessed us with. This picture was taken of our little one at 16 weeks when we took a trip to Fetal Focus w/ the grandparents where we found out we are going to be having a BOY!!! God truely knows us and our hearts better than we do and he knew deep down that we both really desired to have a boy. From 16 weeks till now we have been watching my belly grow and felt (only me) the baby moving around and letting me know he is ok in there. It is amazing to think their is a little baby growing inside of me and moving around in their every day... truely a miracle. We are so thankful and just beyond words at everything the Lord has done in our lives since we found out we were pregnant. Our big anatomy scan ultrasound is coming up next Friday, September 25th!! We are very excited for that day to come and after the ultrasound has confirmed that we are truely having a boy we are going to go register at BabiesRUs, post more pics, and reveal the name (for those of you who dont already know). :D

Steven and Kari here. We are creating this blog to capture our journey and memories as we embark on starting a family. Our first year of being married was one of the most awesome years of both our lives, but we feel like God has alot more exciting and wonderful things to come. In case you haven't heard.. We are Pregnant!!! We both knew that we always wanted to have children one day and prayed for God's perfect timing, that it would happen when it was meant to be, yet that second you actually see the pregnancy test confirm that you are pregnant a million different things hit you at once. Excitement, joy, fear, worry, unbelief and just not really sure what to do as we think of how our lives will never be the same again.

July 7th was our first official Dr. appointment and we were just about 10 weeks. Everything went great except when the Dr. tried to hear the baby's heartbeat, he wasn't able to. He said it was because my uterus was tilted slightly back so that makes it even harder to hear the heartbeat (though you usually can't hear the heartbeat with at dopler until around 12 weeks). Anyways he sent us to get an ultrasound just to make sure that everything was ok with the baby and that their was a heartbeat. Though we were freaked out, it was a blessing in disguise because we were able to see our little peanut and see and hear the heartbeat. Hearing the heartbeat was the most amazing sound ever and the little peanut was is cute already.

Today, August 4th was our second Dr. appointment!! It went fairly quick but everything was great. The Dr. felt my tummy to make sure my uterus moved forward and was no longer tilted, then the used the dopler like last time to hear the baby's heartbeat and we heard it right away and go to hear it for a while... again the most amazing sound ever!! We are 14th week and are so thankful we have made it to the second trimester ((already.. dang)). So we go back for our next appointment September 1st, when we will be about 18 weeks. The Dr. also set us up for our next ultrasound for September 25th!! (long time I know) So, we are excited for that, but doubt we will wait till then to find out whether we are going to have a boy or girl... we're probably gonna just cheat and go to the mall in a couple/few weeks :D Thank you Lord Jesus for this precious miracle!!!

That's all for now.. I will definately keep this updated now that we have actually started and figured it out (sorta)

Hugs & Kisses,
Steven and Kari
